| Biographical Note: |
Georgios' doctoral research has focused on electoral behaviour and more specifically on the role that party leaders play in individual voting decisions. He was awarded his PhD from the University of Essex in July 2008. He joined the Department of Politics at the University of Exeter in June 2008 and is working with Prof Susan Banducci on the media component of the PIREDEU study. He is also working together with Prof Jack Vowles on an EU funded project studying the effects of globalization on perceptions of electoral accountability. His current research interests are in the areas of political behaviour, political communication and the determinants of support for democracy under a comparative perspective.
