Biographical Note:
Dr Sara Hobolt is a University Lecturer in Comparative European Politics, and a Fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford University. Before joining Oxford University, she was a National Election Studies Fellow at the University of Michigan, where she gained valuable experience with the development, implementation and analysis of the benchmark study of electoral behaviour, the American National Election Studies (ANES). She has also been involved in the planning of the third module of the cross-national Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES).Her research interests are in comparative politics, political behaviour, European integration and quantitative methods in the social sciences. In particular, she is interested in examining the interplay between political elites and citizens in the European Union. She has published widely on voting behaviour, referendums, legislative politics, and the EU in international peer-reviewed journals. She has also served as programme manager of the ESRC Oxford Spring School in advanced quantitative methods and she is an honorary lecturer at the Essex Summer School in Social Science Data Analysis and Collection.
